Glenmorangie Whisky
In 2014, Glenmorangie Whisky forged an ambitious partnership with Heriot-Watt University and the Marine Conservation Society known as the Dornoch Environmental Enhancement Project (DEEP). Its vision is to restore long-lost oyster reefs to the Firth and to enhance biodiversity. It will act in tandem with their anaerobic digestion plant to purify the by-products created through the distillation process – an environmental first for a distillery. Big businesses purification of by-products is essential in tackling pollution and chemical damage to our natural environments. Going the extra mile to make these change is what will drive the green revolution and encourage other companies to do the same.
